LOMPOC P.D. DUI CHECKPOINT RESULTS
NETS 12 Arrests

LOMPOC- APRIL 21st, 2010

The Lompoc Police Department conducted a DUI/Drivers License Checkpoint on Tuesday April 20, 2010 as part of Lompoc’s commitment to public safety.  This checkpoint was one of many that have been or will be conducted throughout the year in Lompoc. The location of the checkpoint was in the 1700 block of east Laurel Avenue for west bound traffic.  The goal of the DUI Checkpoint was removing impaired drivers and to bring awareness to the public of the dangers of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol. 

 

The following charges/arrests were made during the checkpoint:

 

Driving without a drivers license                    3           

Driving on a suspended license                           9

Drivers evaluated for D.U.I                           17 Drivers were drinking but under the limit of .08

Vehicles towed for a 30-day hold                    9

Vehicles towed for a 1-day hold                      3

Vehicles passing thru the checkpoint            150

Miscellaneous traffic stops                            18

Possession of narcotics in a vehicle                1 (Also had a suspended license)

 

The checkpoint was funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.  Report Drunk Drivers – Call 9-1-1!
